Policeman to be charged with colleagues's death

It is good news as the director of Public Production in Jamaica has directed that a policeman is to be charged in connection to the death Corporal Grantly Waite. In November of 2005, Corporal Grantly Waite was badly beaten at a Police Station in Mount Salem, St James and later succumbed to his wounds in hospital.

Happily this has not gone the way of the Micheal Gayle case. Someone will now have to answer for this gruesome crime.

Lets see how the case actually turns out before we get too excited. Something to consider is whether any particular individual was named as the person who is to be charged. Something else to consider - a lot of people are charged and never actually prosecuted and a lot of people are charged and prosecuted but the defence succeeds as the prosecution had no case.
