Access Images/Videos on your Slide to Upgrade Stuck iPhone/iPad

If your iPhone, IPad or iPod as been hit by the #slidetoupgrade bug you might first want to get back your pictures and videos.

Here is the dummy's guide for people like me
  1. Disconnect the USB cable from your Phone
  2. Plug the other end into your PC or Mac
  3. Hold down the sleep/wake button.
  4. While doing this, connect the other end of USB cable to your Phone
  5. An iPhone/iPad drive should now show up
  6. Browse to it open the folders and you will have access to your images and videos
  7. Copy them to a safe place.
A big lesson from all of this; back up your phone, especially before any upgrade.

Worked! I can't believe it! Nice guide Thanks so much

As I didn't have any backs up and didn't want to lose my data I used method two. But in "Check for Updates" step I faced an error (1667) so Instead here's what I've done If you experienced something similar.

1) With the iPhone connected to iTunes. Press Power and Home button at the same time for 10 seconds then home button alone for 5 more seconds. iTunes logo should appear on your iPhone screen
2) Unplug then plug to iTunes again. A message will pop up on your mac/pc saying update or restore now. select cancel. then instead of selecting update option alone press down cmd and alt buttons on keyboard while pressing the update button with your mouse. A window should open up. select the downgrade update file you already downloaded that is already compatible with your device.
3) done!
