Apple publishes new guide to fix "Slide to upgrade" errors

Apple has published a new guide to resolving the iOS 9 issues. The guide calls for updating to iTunes,Windows  and Mac software. Apple hopes this will resolve the update and restore errors in iTunes

As a user attempting to use iTunes to update or restore iOS on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you might see error code or alert message. Apple believes most of these errors happen because your computer has older versions of software or can’t connect to the server. Apple is asking you to get updated.

Here are the suggestions to get by most update and restore errors

The Steps 
  1. Update iTunes.
    Get the  latest version of iTunes on your computer.
  2. Update your OS.
    Install available updates for your OS X. If you have a PC, you can get PC software updates from Windows. 
  3. Check your computer’s security software.
    You might need to update, change, disable, or uninstall software that’s causing an issue. We suggest temporarily disabling your anti-virus and firewall e.g. McaFee Avast, AVG. Trend Micro Security etc
  4. Unplug extra USB devices.
    Keep only your iPad/iPhone/iPod, keyboard, and mouse plugged in directly to your computer.
  5. Restart.
    Turn off your computer and your device. Then turn them on again.
  6. Try again
    Update or restore your iPad/iPhone/iPod again.

The last time I wrote I was questioning who to vote for. I now have the answer and it is simple. Vote for a better situation. There is no point saying that you are not voting as that will not stand a chance of making things better. Everyone who wants better must vote and let their voice be heard.
