The COVID-19 Pandemic pushed me to look at other software streaming encoders outside of WireCast. The one that rose to the top was OBS(Open Broadcasting Software) as it is free and big plus is the developer community that contributes plugins and scripts that allow you to enhance your ZOOM, YouTube and Social Media Productions. Plugins and scripts add additional functionality not included in the core application. During COVID-19 one such plugin OBS Virtual Camera eventual found itself into the core application and so too WebSockets in OBS 28. I am a Blackberry 10 Fan and I still use a Blackberry Z10. While I do have an Android phone I still love my Blackberry. Blackberry 10 is dead. Over the years some useful apps have stopped being supported and no longer work while others despite no support continue to work but are no longer updated.
